Welcome to Noblesville

A stately courthouse and irresistible historic charm beckon visitors and residents alike to this culturally rich and creative town.

An alluring blend of rural and suburban, the city of Noblesville is one that embraces its past while looking forward to an incredible future. Abounding in landmark buildings and gorgeous architecture, the town’s central Historic City Square radiates with the warmth of simpler times. Modernity continues to blend seamlessly with this charming district as more and more trendy boutiques and must-try restaurants take up shop within the historic properties.

First settled in 1818 after the purchase of land from its Native American owners and officially incorporated in 1851, Noblesville is a town steeped in history. From its earliest days as a trading outpost through the expansion of railroads and its later economy of flour milling and mining natural gas, Noblesville has since bloomed into a dynamic town of more than 63,000 residents.

The residential real estate of Noblesville is an enchanting mixture of historic homes and various architectural styles, though the recent growth of the town in the early 2010s has also led to an increase of traditional and custom new-build homes. Noblesville is brimming with single-family homes, which are typically decked out in all the best modern luxury accoutrements.

Local Lifestyle

Noblesville isn’t the typical small-town: artistic to the core, the city is replete with creators and creative types who experience a welcoming community in which they can thrive. The unexpected urban flair of Noblesville continues through its culinary scene and internationally inspired restaurants, as well as performance venues and excellent shopping.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

The mainstream commercial pulse of Noblesville is Hamilton Town Center, an outdoor shopping destination and Simon Mall that’s home to more than 96 stores. When searching for a more small-town, local retail and dining experience, residents can simply visit the Downtown District pressed along the meandering waters of White Creek.

Here, shoppers can find the latest fashion trends from upscale clothing boutiques, browse the wares of high-end home goods stores, or even pick up a rare vintage game from specialty toy stores. Downtown is also the setting for a ton of phenomenal dining choices, including Matteo’s Ristorante Italiano. At Matteo’s, the authentic, fine dining Italian cuisine is served inside a cheerful, family-friendly interior.

The Nesst is Noblesville’s premier steakhouse and frequently tops the list of best restaurants in town. It’s a beloved gathering spot for locals, who come to drink, dine, and socialize in the venue’s classy environment. Notable for their creative cocktails and elevated tavern fare, Big Woods is a pizzeria and gastropub that brags an impressive craft beer menu.

Things to Do

Despite its rural setting, the city of Noblesville is positively bursting with cultural institutions and facilities for the arts. For instance, the recently established Noblesville Cultural Arts District includes the city’s brand-new Federal Hill Commons and connects Old Town Noblesville with the Nickel Plate Arts facility.

In the summer months, as this arts district comes to life with visitors and creators, the Federal Hill Commons park hosts the Concerts at the Commons Series, a lively, outdoor music event that runs from June to September. A few minutes west and next to the waters of Sand Creek, the Ruoff Music Center is a stunning outdoor amphitheater where some of the nation’s top musicians and artists perform concerts.
